Too brief a visit

by James on Fri Aug 18 2006 at 03:34 PM

My first visit to Hungry Heart Cafe was considerably more rushed than I might have liked, but there was still time to enjoy the inventive decor and try out the wifi. LP sleeves and vintage toys give this place a unique vibe, and I'm sure those whose laptop batteries aren't in need of charging will enjoy the garden. The connection seemed speedy and reliable, though a longer visit will provide a better indicator.

Their wraps are tasty and cheap....$3 for a half, $5 for a full wrap. Really good shakes. Live music on the weekends.

Booking

Hello i saw on the band Three Chord Statement that they had a show planned with you, and i was wondering if we could possibly book a show sometime. You can go to www.purevolume.com/ourfirstlove and listen to what we sound like, the recording is out of date but we are in the process of recording a full length cd, but the recording should give a general idea of what we are like. I PROMISE you a good show if we play for you. All we ask for is $40 to cover expenses and everything. I hope to hear from you soon! -Kris (Bassist) www.myspace.com/ofl www.ourfirstlove.net www.purevolume.com/ourfirstlove

Too Bad Its Over

by Phil Mol on Fri Aug 18 2006 at 03:44 PM

Unfortunately, another owner/operator small business has passed. It was fun bringing my friends over grab a lunch. The building itself holds sentimental value, as it was my Grandfather's hardware back in the early 60's, but I really feel a loss for the West side, as a "laid back" and "down to earth" establishment has moved on.
